Buffalo Plaid Classroom Decor Ideas

This post is a growing listing of Buffalo Plaid Classroom Decor Ideas that are perfect for an elementary classroom.  A Buffalo Plaid theme or lumberjack plaid theme is very homey and red. It is totally fine to mix both the red and black plaid with the black and white plaid. They complement each other. I think you can call it a buffalo check or lumberjack plaid (even though there are tons of other lumberjack plaid patterns out there).

I love to find awesome classroom decor ideas. As an Amazon affiliate, I may earn a commission for purchases using my links. Learn more. The ideas and paid links below are based on Amazon finds that are great for making a red and white plaid themed classroom.

This classroom library has a black and white buffalo plaid rug. The teacher's desk is decorated with a matching buffalo plaid triangle bunting banner. She bought both items from Amazon for her classroom. She is doing a farmhouse and buffalo plaid  mixed theme.

Free Buffalo Plaid Classroom Decor Printables from TpT:
I found these free downloads for you! They are created by other TpT sellers that you may know. Feel free to check them out. The picture above is just a composite of each item. I'm listing each one separately for you below... At the time of writing this post, these items are free. However, the owners may change them to priced items in the future.

More lumberjack plaid classroom decor ideas from Amazon:

Store pencils or markers in these cute pails (#ad). These other little buckets (#ad) are really tiny and can probable only hold chalk or crayon stubs, lol. They are super cute though.

Have a buffalo plaid reading nook with throw pillows (#ad) and rugs (#ad) to match this theme.

Barker Creek has a whole new collection of classroom accents that will match a buffalo plaid theme. They added some yellow and some Spring flair to their collection (see below).

The most out-of-the-box thing I've seen so far is this awesome writing bulletin board display created by a second grade teacher.
It reads 'Tall Tales in 2nd Grade'.

She layered a black and white buffalo plaid border trim to make it become the lumberjack's shirt! Don't you love this?

More ideas will be added soon.

About Me

My photo
As a Caribbean primary school teacher, I share my unique classroom with the world through this blog. Readers step into my class through the pictures, articles and classroom samples of games and lessons used in my class. I have been teaching since 2005 at the std. 4 primary level in Trinidad and Tobago. I am particularly interested in sharing my own personal lesson plans, tests and activities. Teachers need to share ideas and support each other because in doing so, we help to educate our students and develop ourselves as teachers. Technology is ever evolving and we as teachers should get on board with it, collaborate and keep up to date with this new age that we live in. Our students belong to this technological era and we must embrace opportunities to learn from each other in this global community. I also love to express my creativity in the classroom. I am a bit of a craftster . So I'm always cutting, gluing or making something... a game, a chart, a learning center, etc. So, teachers and parents, feel free to stop by and see what's new at Nyla's Crafty Teaching!
